SERGE LUTENS – MY CHOICE FOR MEN’s PERFUME.

Serge Lutens has a long history in the fashion world that lead’s back to the 60’s . A French based a make-up artist where some of his works were on the covers of magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

His big break came in 1967 when Christian Dior who was about to launch his makeup line and called upon him to create the Christian Dior make-up line. ” Serge Lutens,Revolution of Make-up” proclaims Diana Vreeland the famous editor of Vogue in the early 70’s.

In 2000 Serge Lutens created the brand which bears his name. What i like about the Serge Lutens perfumes is that the scent is masculine but not too overwhelming and you can actually mix up the different perfumes that they have. Yes they do smell great and keeps everyone guessing what perfume are you using and most of them fail, i do like that shying away from most conventional big brands out there. Lastly they last the whole day and you can take my word for it.

FOR THE CIGAR AFICIONADO’S. HUBLOT LAUNCHES ‘The Fuente Fuente Opus X’ TO CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER CIGAR.

Cigar aficionado’s and fan’s of the OPUS X  have a reason to celebrate after Swiss watchmaker Hublot created an absolute masterpiece the Hublot Classic Fusion 45mm Fuente 20th Anniversary Special Edition. This is not the first time both brands has collaborated .

There will be three models in the OpusX edition which is limited to 20 pieces each making it a very sought after watch , The first piece has a satin finished black ceramic with a 45mm casing with the back engraved with illustration of the Fuente family with the “Château de la Fuente, Fuente Fuente Opus X 20 Years” .

The second version is in brushed aluminium with engraving reproducing tobacco leaves motifs

Last but not least the King Gold, red-gold developed in-house at Hublot. All three watches has the same engraving at the back and all three feature the HUB1112 calibre, an automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve.

The Machine that was build to destroy the competition . The FORD GT40

The new Ford GT 40 was build purely one thing in mind that is to race in the 2016 Le Mans to celebrate 50 years of the GT40 taking 1st,2nd and 3rd position in the 1967 24hrs Le Mans race beating the Ferrari’s after Enzo Ferrari almost giving the finger on Ford’s intention of buying Ferrari. One of the reason was Enzo Ferrari still wanted to be in charged of the Ferrari Motorsports Division after the buyout but Ford Motor Company had no intention to have Enzo around so during the meeting with Ford’s top management in Maranello,Enzo coolly stood up and told his assistant let’s have some lunch leaving the Ford team in a lurch.That didn’t go well with the owner’s of Ford and so the legendary GT40 which was based on a Lola was created to beat the Ferrari’s at any cost in Le Mans.Which they did.

Fast forward 50 years the people at Ford decided to go at it again and in 2016 Ford build the new GT40 and race it and won in Le Mans beating the Ferrari’s yet again with a 1,3 podium finish,Ferrari came in 2nd and it all happened in just 6 months. Now that is something amazing since the Le Mans is gruelling 24hr race where most of the factory team which raced and win in Le Mans are teams who spend 6 to 10 years to develop the right combination between men and machine to race in Le Mans. But Ford did it in just 6 months where it all started from a rendering and dream specially for one man by the name of Raj Nair who was the executive vice president and president of North America for Ford and he was the forefront man of the 2017 GT40 secret project.

The Ford GT40 crossing the chequered flag to claim its number 1 position,celebrating their 50 years anniversary in spectacular style in the 2016 Le Mans.

The feed that Ford achieved is a mighty impressive one, to be back after 50 years and winning the Le Mans on their first try.

A Sunday Afternoon

Had a big lunch and now time for a cigar and coffee in Paris. For a moment it feels like that, but actually im in Pavillion in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur where this French themed Bistro is located (3rd Flr) .I’m not going to indulge on how’s the food and coffee that is for you guys to find out but what i enjoyed the most is having a beautiful cigar and the feeling of being in Paris except the part no one is annoyed or giving you the what the hell are you doing stare. Before you tell me off for not being considerate we are talking about where smoking is allowed. Back to Cafe de Paris, this is where we like to spend our Sunday’s it’s a very strategic place to people watch if you like people watching and most importantly they have the right ashtrays for cigars!. So cigar smoker yes, it’s a cigar friendly cafe

Just love the color of the recently lauched Porsche 911 GT3 here in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia.The current line up of the GT3 produces 500BHP@8,250rpm and 460nm of torque. That’s a lot of power from a 4.0 NA engine. The 911 GT3 will be only equipped with a PDK transmission but rumors has it there is one of one manual version in the planet build by BGB motorsports for one of their customer’s,you can checkout the build thread on his IG @janev.robert. By the way the base price for the 911 GT3 starts at RM1.7mil thats about 406067.22 US Dollar.

Hey everyone, this is my first blog post and im glad to share a cigar rolling event which i attended recently in Havana, Kuala Lumpur. It was a privilige to watch cigar master roller Crisanto Cardenas from Duran Cigars (RPD) the picture above says it all. Let me just say it was enjoyable night specially the oppertunity to smoke a freshly rolled cigar and being an avid cigar smoker myself it was truly a memorable evening. @cigarkualalumpur.
